 Dr. Wong was elected as the Founding Chair of the Pan Asia Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery at the inaugural meeting of the PAAFPRS during the 3rd International Conference of Facial Plastic Surgery in China in September of 2009. Dr. Wong hopes to help the Pacific countries in facilitating facial plastic educational exchange. Reconstructive Surgery
Reduction of Lower Jaw or angle of mandible to transform a round or angular face to a more oval shaped aesthetically pleasing face is a common procedure, particularly among Asians. Cheek augmentation and reduction, chin augmentation and reduction, and augmentation of a sunken temple area are all very common reconstructive procedures to improve the aesthetic appeal of the face.
